03Questions candidates ask
Before you apply
Do I need a Google account to apply?
Yes. Applications go through a Google Form with a CV upload, and Google requires sign-in for uploads. If that is a problem, email careers@zyncore.co with your CV and the role title.
Am I an employee or a contractor?
You are engaged as an independent contractor through ZYNCORE. ZYNCORE holds your contract for the engagement; you are not contracted directly with the client. Every term is explained in writing before you accept a placement.
Who pays me, and in what currency?
ZYNCORE pays you. Roles are paid in foreign currency, typically USD, AUD, GBP, or EUR depending on the client. You never invoice or negotiate payment with the client directly.
Can I talk to the client about pay or contract terms?
No. Day-to-day collaboration with the client team is normal and expected. Commercial and contract matters stay between you and ZYNCORE, through your account manager.
What is the bootcamp?
A 2-day AI and soft-skills program plus interview coaching, run before you face any client interview. It covers AI-assisted workflows, client communication, and how to present your track record.
What happens when an engagement ends?
If the client's agreement with ZYNCORE ends, your deployment ends on the same terms. We then actively try to place you in another open role. That is our default effort, not a guarantee, and we tell you upfront if there is a gap.
Do I have to be in Sri Lanka?
Yes. The program is for Sri Lanka-based professionals. Roles are remote-first, with working hours set to overlap with the client's day.
My role isn't listed. Should I still apply?
Yes. Any role that supports a software delivery project is in scope: development, QA, project and program management, DevOps and cloud, business analysis, UI/UX, data, architecture, and support. Join the pipeline and we match you when a fit appears.
